After
having known First Level Reiki, experimented with it and studied
it in depth for some time (at least three months are recommended),
you can approach Cosmic Energy in a more intense and complete
way through the Second Level initiation.
OKUDEN - SECOND LEVEL REIKI
Everyone should feel
for themselves when the right time has come to take this step,
and be ready to face more change in their life with serenity,
before facing a new “drive” towards energy growth
and purification like Second Level is. Our organism needs time
to integrate new experience. Sometimes it is the teacher who tells
the learner when he or she is ready for Second Level.
This choice does not fit with
my way of thinking, since for us westerners the bond between “teacher”
and “learner” is quite different from the Eastern
way. I think that having the learners take the responsibility
to listen to themselves, trust their feelings and make their own
decisions is a strong value in the Reiki experience. Reiki is
in fact a system focused on freedom, self-definition and self-realization.
With the Second Level the learner
is initiated to three cosmic symbols able to make the practice
of Reiki independent from space and time; the basic techniques
for using such symbols are learned, along with the way to make
“treatments at a distance” both on people and on abstract
situations.
With the Second Level, the energy
flow increases significantly. Yet this increase does not seem
so significant considering the fact that the true power of Reiki
is directly connected to truly opening your heart. Reiki is an
extremely high vibration frequency, and this vibration quality
is the same for every Reiki practitioner, whatever their level.
The intensity of he emission of
this extraordinary vibration quality of Reiki, on the other hand,
depends on how open the practitioner’s heart is. The more
love, true presence, respect, empathy, compassion, availability
he or she offers, the more the energy will flow... through Love,
Intelligence and Energy.
While the First Level is called
by some the "Hands Level", the Second Level (called
by many the "Mind Level") is actually the Creativity
Level. It allows us to project our willpower, our determination,
our loving intent, through cosmic symbols.
For those who are ready to receive
the change in humility and serenity, an ever greater psychological
(and perceptual) openness occurs, an openness which goes way beyond
the narrow borders of the psyche to roam into the territories
of intuition and acute sensitivity.
The sensitivity to the energy
of other people, of environments and places, of situations also
grows, and the "therapeutic ability" grows with it.

for a balanced and responsible use of the instruments of Second
Level are explained:

However, the possibilities offered
by Second Level Reiki are limited only by the extent of your imagination...
The "silent knowledge"

between you and the cosmos, a “feeling” where Everything
