HE REIKI SYMBOLS MUST BE RESPECTED. TO RESPECT THE SYMBOLS DOES NOT MEAN HIDING THEM, BUT USE THEM CORRECTLY. WE HAVE TO PROTECT THEIR ORIGINAL SHAPE AND TEACH THEM PROPERLY, ENERGETICALLY AND TECHNICALLY.
«The Reiki Symbols are powerful energy keys, able to connect the Reiki operator to certain frequencies of energy able to perform specific purposes. The Traditional Reiki Symbols of the dr. Usui's System are four, not one more, nor one less:
Choku Rei
Sei Heki
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen
Dai Ko Myo
The first three symbols of the Usui Reiki System are taught at the Second Level, while the fourth is transmitted to the third level. While possessing their own intrinsic strength, they can be used properly and in the fulness of their potential only by one who has been initiated to them through the correct attunement procedures.
Much has been discussed around the Reiki Symbols in recent years and a lot of hypocrisy has served as a tide dish for those discussions. This section explains clearly why the symbols must be treated with respect, but are not secret and should not necessarily be concealed, as freely disseminated in the East. Respect also is in the heart and in the attitude of the operator, not in the ritual observance of strict rules, such as hiding the symbols at all cost, do not fold the sheets on which they are written and not having to burn that sheets when they are no longer needed and so on.
Just the rigidity is the basis of the fact that today at least 70% of teachers of the Usui Reiki Method does not have the correct Master Symbol Dai Ko Myo! It's time to turn the page and take responsability as teachers to teach the Original Reiki with the tools (including symbols) belonging to that traditional system. This means respecting the user, this means honoring the right of the student to know the Original Reiki of dr. Mikao Usui.»
